Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Custody

My ex-wife thinks that she is going to pack up my three minor children and move to Florida. What is the best way to stop her from doing this? I live 60 miles from the town they are in now. She constantly tells me that I am the one playing games with them but she is the one who in the past 5 years has told me she is moving the kids out of state, kicked her now ex-husband out over 30 times and tells them that I'm not taking care of them. I pay my child support on time all the time and try to provide for them the best I can. My oldest is 15 and is sitting in jail in Chicago. Back to my original question. Can I stop her from taking them out of state?

Re: Custody

The answer to your question is maybe. If she has a job opportunity, or a new husband who works in Florida, no court would stop her. If not, then you have a chance to stop hert. Please call for an appointment.
