Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Is there any way for a divorcee to go after an ex's inheritance for back child support. The ex was suppose to pay so much a week/month for years now and has not. The arrears are being track by the State so there is proof that he owes and hasn't payed.

You have a series of judgmments for unpaid support. You csn seek to enforce that judgment against sny assets he has. The issue of an inheritance being non-marital property that exists when a divorce is pending is not relevant to the recovery of unpaid support.
