Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My friend is in the process of divorce with 2 young children. He was removed from the family home they rented by court order and has been outstaying his welcome in a friends basement for the past 4 month (with the children on their court ordered joint custody days.

The spouse has filed a petition to freeze the accounts and he needs to find a place to live for himself and the children. He has found a rental house in the same town as the spouse that he was going to sign a lease on so the children are close to the other parent, but is now unable to with the accounts being froze.

What does he need to do or can he do to continue living and provide for his children?

He could file a motion asked for the court to unfreeze the account to allow him to get a security deposit. If he can not afford to pay the monthly rent, then her will have to look elsewhere.
