Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My husband wants a divorce. We own commercial property, and the deed is in both of our names. When we purchased the property, my husband's uncle gave him the money needed to make the purchase. There was no paperwork done for that money exchange, he just wrote him a check. My question is, am I legally entitled to half of the property since my name is on the deed? There is no bank loan.

Yes and there legally is no lien or encumbrance, so you can claim one half of the equity.
