Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I am suppose to pay for my estranged husband health care during divorce proceedings. It is a court order. However, He is abusive with me; my children are abusive with me because of him.

I do not want to pay for him; he is mean nasty and threatens me. How can I stop paying for his health care insurance?

He pays alimony weekly of $400 but he earns well over $20,000 net monthly.

Violating a court order will result in you being found in contempt of court, which can result in a fine and/or jail time. Your only option is to get an order which does not require you to pay his insurance.
