Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I am tying to file and get a divorce on my own, I can not afford a lawyer. I live in Illinois and my husband lives in Illinois. I will be filing in Illinois. Now my husband agrees to the divorce and I was wondering if I send him the papers does all he have to do Is sign them and send them back and I hand the judge the signed papers and the judgement is final?

It is a .little more formal than that. It depends on what you and your husband own. Are there pensions, real estate, cars, bills etc. If the papers are drafted correctly, and your husband files an appearance, then it can go relatively quickly. But there are many inexpensive attorneys you can help you through the process, or many court systems have pro se clinics.
