Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

My husband and I signed a retail agreement a year ago to purchase some furniture. It was to be financed but interest free for 2 years...In the meantime he became sick with cancer so we never had the furniture delivered and he passed away in January. Am I still obligated to take this furniture? I also made a small down payment...We live in Illinois.

Generally yes, you are bound by the signed contract. If there are options available to you, they are contained in the contract. Have a lawyer review it to see if anything can be done.
