Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

I have purchased a vehicle in Colorado, and then moved to Illinois, before delivering the title, the dealership went out of business. His lawyer was not helpful in finding the title or giving us the name of the previous owner (the vehicle was on the lot as "consignment"). What should I do to get the title and register the vehicle in the state of Illinois? I have all of the original paperwork, including receipts showing payment in full and bill of sale.

Go to a local Secretary of State's office. You should have enough for them to issue an Illinois title to the vehicle.
