Legal Question in Immigration Law in Illinois

So I've been marrief for 2 years since October 2013, I just discovered my husband has been cheating on me. I'm a conditional resident and on January I was going to apply for permanent residence, my question tho is will I be deported if I get a divorce or will I lose my right to work in the USA? I have proofs where he admits to cheat on me.

Thank you so much

I doubt you'll be deported based on the facts you've presented. It is the smart path to hire a lawyer to follow you through the process and advocate for your right to stay. We've seen this type of case dozens of times and we know it can be an anxious and frustrating time. Feel free to give us a call to discuss representation. We'd like to help.

Normally, you should file a joint petition to remove the condition on your green card. However, you may be qualified to file a hardship waiver request by filing the petition without your spouse and still keep your green card. We suggest you to consult with an immigration attorney to discuss your options.
