i want to know if my landlord can come in and legally evict me after my lease is up on sep 1 2009, i need to remain here until sep 10 until my new place is ready

Legal eviction in Illinois takes longer than 10 days, because it requires notice and opportunity for a hearing. You may owe holdover rent, but it is unlikely the landlord can get you out in 10 days or even would unless he has someone waiting for the unit.
