Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

Roomates girlfriend signed sublease moved in baby

My roomates girlfriend signed a sublease agreement with us and moved in, she just had a baby and it was suppose to live with her mother until college was done, the next day after signing the sublease (For a roommate that moved out) she moved the baby in and said she didn't want her mother to care for it, it cries all night and keeps me awake, can I get out of my part of the lease and assign them the responsibility since the baby isn't on the lease and it wasn't agreed to.

You need to review your lease first to see what it says. I would also recommend talking to your roommates about you moving out and them assuming the lease, then talk to your landlord to see if he/she/it will let you out of the lease and let them take it over by executing a new lease with only their names on it.
