Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Illinois
At what age does doctor/patient confidentiality begin or does a doctor have to divulge information to the parent/person responsible for the bill? My 14 year old son had a converstion with his doctor which led her to believe he needed a counselor and a psychiatrist (with no previous history) and will not tell me what he said that led her to believe he needs this type of treatment.
