Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Illinois

I got an oil change for my car on June 18, 2010 and on August 19 my car stopped on my daughter only to find out that my engine had locked! After having my car analyzed at the dealership's service dept. it was determined that not only was my oil not changed, nor was my oil filter which had decomposed into the engine causing it to lock. I want to know if there is a law of deceptive practice and if I have a vaild claim against the company that did or rather did NOT change my oil. They have completely ignored my claim.

Yes, there is the consumer fraud act, along wiht a breach of contract claim and commopn law fraud. Quite possibly, punitive damages are available also. Dont let them get away with this!! Hire an attorney since they are ignoring your claim.
