Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois

Cild hit by car while riding bicycle

My child was hit by a 91 year old lady in car with handicaped plates plus dark wrap around glasses on. He was crossing street of bike path on sunny day. Last person to cross out of 4 (2 joggers)with his father. Driver said she thought he would clear her car, we believe she sped up. There was a stop sign on bike path they didn't completely stop but slowed down to look before crossing. Yelling at Lady to stop/slow down didn't help. My child flew onto hood of car then street. She didn't stop till after she hit him. Bicycle totaled. Large patch of missing hair on head 3'' by 1 1/2'' blood red in color-not sure if hair will grow back yet. Multiple abrasions, bruses, contusion. No broken bones. Is she liable for pain and suffering including future surgury to look normal again? Everyone stares at him right now. Also, will she have to pay for new bicyle he loved so much? Thanks much.

Re: Cild hit by car while riding bicycle

You bet the driver is liable for pain and suffering, loss of normal life and any other damages your child has sustained as the result of negligent driving of the elderly driver. The driver is also liable for all future medical care, if needed and any permanent damage (scaring, missing patch of hairs, etc...) your child has sustained.

I have handled many cases like this successfully in the past. You may contact my office and get more information as to how you should proceed. You do not have to hire my firm but you will be better off getting legal help because the insurance company is not there to do you right on their own free will...

I hope this helps,

Nima Taradji
