Illinois | Personal Injury
Legal Question
I was in a minor car accident. No injuries at scene. Other party said they would not report it to insurance if I paid 300.00. I am willing to pay this but I am worried about them coming back and asking for more or filing a claim at a later time. What should I do?
Legal Answer
You need to have them sign a release of all claims.

They need to sign a proper, full release for any claims of bodily injury or property damage, which would also include a statement that they and they alone have sole ownership rights to the damaged vehicle.
