Im the plaintiff in a property damage case that goes to small claims trial thursday and my lawyer backed out should I try the case myself against defendants counsell

While you may get some latitude from the judge, I generally see unrepresented parties get frustrated by how to get evidence in. They give up after successful objections even though there would be a way if they knew how. How important or valuable is the case to you?
