Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

private water well

Yes, bought house in Nov. 2006 and had problems with the water well had someone come out and looke at it and he stated that the well was not up to code and wondering how can I go back to the previous owner on this and other problems in the house (no insulation in attic and roof leaking). I still have the house listing stating that everything was new. I would like to file this claim my self due to lack of money to obtain a lawyer.

Re: private water well

Based on the informaton provided, you do not have a cause of action. Representing that everything is new is not the same as representing that there is sufficient insulation, the roof does not leak and that the septic is up to code. You need to look to see if there were specific disclosures made concerning these items.
