Hi, my husband is an illegal alien. I let him use my social to work. I know that he wont get in trouble (lawyer told us he wouldn't because IRS does not share info with immigration), but I was wondering what happens when he files taxes with his ITIN and my social? Do I get in trouble? Also, should we file together or separately?

You've committed violations of tax law as well as immigration law. Don't compound the difficulties by filing a false income tax return.
