Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

accident

i drive a semi for L T I Trucking. on 1/18/09 a blazer crossed the center-line 3 miles south of grayville, il. i turned to avoid the head on but she hit the truck anyway. the blazer was found at fault. today i questioned L T I Trucking they claim their insurance company will not cover my lost wages. so because of this accident and the fault of the other driver i have lost an entire weeks wages. i'm not asking for much just my lost wages. do i need a lawyer? do i need to sue the other driver? what are my legal options? any help would be welcomed. steve

Re: accident

Contact your local United States Department of Labor, and file a complaint. I've referred many clients to them, and they usually do a fantastic job. Good Luck!

Re: accident

The previous answer is very good, but it seems to me that you could also file a claim against the other driver/owner. That person's insurance company may very well agree to pay your damages. Consult with an attorney.
