Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

I just received a ticket for failure to reduce speed/too fast for conditions. I lost control of my car because of ice and it ended up in the ditch. A police officer showed up while me and a tow truck were pulling out my car. She wasn't there while I was driving nor were there any witnesses... Will this ticket be thrown out in court without a witness? I will have to go to the circuit court in round lake beach il & an Antioch police officer issued the ticket.

Typical for a law enforcement officer to take advantage of the opportunity to write a ticket in these circumstances. I have handled quite a few cases with similar facts. The fact is that it will be most practical for you to hire an attorney and avoid a conviction. Of course, you could pay an attorney to "fight" the ticket by going through with a trial, buty in the long run it will be cheaper to negotiate a plea bargain. If you are in a jurisdiction wherer I regularly practice, I might be able to offer my services to you for a reasonable fee. Please feel free to contact me.
