estate probate court case

My father died his wife has been living in another state for 5 years. He left land to 3 kids w/out wife signing a quick claim deed. She now suing 3 kids. I wanted to settle out of court but other 2 kids want to fight wife. I was served a summons to file my plea. what does that mean? and if i dont will i still inherit anything? i dont care of the outcome in this the other 2 kids are fighting the wife.

Hello. A summons is a form that accompanies a civil complaint and advises you of the courthouse where you should file your appearance and answer in a civil lawsuit. You should take this seriously and hire a lawyer. You definitely do not want to get stuck with a default judment against you. Will be happy to discuss this further and in more detail.
