grandmother with alzheimers

my g-ma has alzheimers and she recently was put in a nursing home if she becomes a ward of the state is there any way to keep her property in the family? or will we lose it to pay for the nursing home?

There are some options your family may have to save her assets, but they depend on whether your grandmother is married, the size of her estate, how the assets are currently titled, etc.

I would strongly recommend that you make an appointment to speak with an estate planning attorney who has experience in Medicaide planning.
