cheque bounce/signature mismatch

i've given cheque of 50,000 rs but i put wrong sign and also i had stopped my cheque in the bank anticipating cheque bounce . there is no bal in my acc. sign will not match as i had put duplicate sign and also i stopped the cheque payment in the bank. will there be any case against me? kindly suggest me. There was an agreement in my previous company for which i had to give the cheque so plz kindly suggest me

The fact is you can also be prosecuted u/s 420 IPC for offence of cheating alongwith cheque bounching so take immediate steps for payment.

Both of your acts, signing the cheque wrongly and then stopping its payment, are liable to be considered as criminal offence if there is sufficient proof that the cheque was definitely issued by you. So I suggest to have consultation with legal practisioner dealing with criminal matters.

what you have done is cheating. By signing wrongly, you caused the payee to believe that you have issued the cheque. You will be liable for prosecution for cheating, if the cheque bounces. Do not submit such dubious problems in this forum. This forum is not intended to help people who intend to cheat.
