non payment of sale

I have sold material to my party in 2001.He had made part payment and have not paid balance amount till date.I want to take legal action against him.Guide me

You can file a civil suit for recovery of unpaid price of material sold/supplied.

You can file a suit for recovery before the appropriate Court of Civil Jurisdiction. However, if there is any written contract between the parties, the same needs to be examined.

You can file a summary suit to recover the amount - trial of which is faster then regular suits, you may contact a local lawyer for this.

you can proceed against the party to recover the money that is part pending.

You have to file a civil suit for recovery of your balance amount in a competent court of law. Limitation period is 3 years. Court fee payable by you differs from state to state.
