Legal Question in Constitutional Law in India

We( me and my brother) pleaded guilty for a hurting a person who was hurting my mother sometime ago. A case was registered against us and was pending for some time. But because of my brother's visa pressure we voluntarily pleaded guilty and we were fined Rs 500 under Section 352 IPC by a magistrate court. This is the only instance of any such criminal act in our entire life. We are well educated first generation individuals
But I have always dreamed of something big and want to try for the tamilnadu government job . Is there any way for me to pursue my dreams? Will my criminal record affect my eligibility?
