Arrest warrant

I have lodged 498a against my husband.My husband works abroad on temporary visa.The police are telling us that they have already issued arrest warrant against my husband but till date did not show us the arrest warrant.We are asking them to give us a copy of the warrant but they are saying officially they cannot give us.I want to know can we get the copy of arrest warrant from the police legally?

You can see the approved application of warrant in your case papers with the court or apply for a copy of the same from the court.

Yes, you may seek a certified copy of the arrest warrant or the "look out notice" issued by the police. You may require "cooperation" from police authorities and not "confrontation". your statement shows that you have not been able to obtain support from the police which is unfortunate; you may need some introspection about your 'public dealings' methods.

You may also approach the local court in whose jurisdiction the police station may be falling.

It may be better to engage a local counsel with the specific mandate to obtain for you a copy of the arrest warrants and/or look out notice.

Arrest Warrant is issued by Court. You can apply to the Court for the copy.
