if blank singed cheque is lost what

precaution should one take so that

no body can misuse it and if misused the drawer is protected

First of always understand that you should never issue blank signed cheques.

In the given scenario if the same is lost you can initmate the bank to stop the payment of the same.

A fool-proof protection may not be possible.

However, the account holder should inform the bank immediately; and ALSO report the matter to the local police. A certified copy of the DDR (Daily Dairy Report) recorded by the police may be kept for further use, if required.

Report loss to police and bank.

If despite this somebody misuse the same, then you need to prove that there is no legal debt or liability payable by you to payee of cheque.

Inform the Bank immediately for stop payment and if possible obtain FIR from police.
