Legal Question in Criminal Law in India

I got a notice for 138 NI when I Got the details of the case , the cheque which has been dishonored does not belong to me , it belongs to my husband and I have never given that cheque to that party , what should i do , party saying that i have agreement with them but i am a house wife since 2004. but i have never signed any agreement with them they are saying we have given huge amount not mentioning how much in 2008-2009 how, when, where and how much not mentioned what should be my stand now.

it is better if you see a lawyer along with the complaint filed and also give details of your defense. in case the cheque does not belong to you and is of your husband's account, you may go for quashing of summoning order.
