you may marry as per Hindu rites and ceremonies by performing "sat padi" that is seven rounds around the Holy fire, performed by any Hindu priest. the marriage need not be registered.

You may solemnized the the marriage by either rites of any community and than get it registered under Sepcial Marriage Act or you may solemnized the marriage under the special marriage act by submitting the prescribed form and depositing the required fees in concerned court of Marriage officer/A.D.M/Spl. executive mag. of your areas and for that one party must have documents showing the residence for more than 30 days. Re: Inter Caste Marriage Query

the marriage has to be registered under special marriages act. contact a lawyer they will help you out - or - may be by yourself - get to the registrar of marriages and file an application and give details - he shall cause a notice and then after 30 days the marriage shall be registered in the record - but this does not prohibit you from getting married in any other manner - i mean the type of wedding! our very best wishes for a happy married life!

Re: Inter Caste Marriage Query

you may surely marry the boy according to his or ur rites and ceremonies but at the same time get it registered under the special marriage act to give it a legal sanctity. in case you get it registered under SMA you do need to even change your religion at any point of time.

Re: Inter Caste Marriage Query

You can get married under SM Act without changing your respective religeon. But it must be registered. For registration contact some local advocate as it is difficult to detail the process here, besides, the rules differ from state to state.
