Rent case

I am tenant in chandigarh. The privious landlord issued me rent receipt in 2002.In court case,it was shown in 2004.The landlord expired in year 2005.The legal heir filed fresh rent case in 2006.On the basis of this receipt, provisional rent was tendered in court. But now, there is afterthoght theory adpoted by the new landlord.Actually,i lost this receipt in august,2007,but a certified copy was made by notary public on the same day itself.I reported the matter to chandigarh police and ddr was lodged.I moved application for amendment of written statement due to this subsequent event, but application was dismissed and i went to high court.Though the petition was dismissed ,but liberty was given for application for secondary evidence.I filed application for secondary eveidence. Now,the landlord has filed criminal case of forgery on this photostat rent receipt issued by the deceased landlord.During the pendency of all rent cases in last years,no one challanged this receipt, even the deceased landlord. The new landlord has filed no. Of false case to get the premises vacated. The new landlord has no agreement to prove rate of rent. How this receipt is forged.I had summoned the record of previous court. Can the signatures got verified on xerox cpy
