Legal Question in Personal Injury in India

Dear sir, My cousin met an accident with motorcycle,he was also driving motorcyle...the person died in accident he was around 50 years of age...my cousin has driving license...in court it is proved that my cousin was not in fault as the person who died was coming fast from wrong side...after that the person's family filed a claim as he was the earning man and he died, the motor cycle my cousin was driving is in the name of his father...after 12 years court gave judgement the my cousin father should pay 4,50,000/- and also interest of 12 years, there was no insurance of motor cycle of my cousin.

Now sir my cousin is not having that much income he is staying in rent house and also the business he is doing is rented shop.so he will not able to pay that much amount.

So what can be done ? we can go in appeal against the judgement?....what can be done to reduce the amount..?.......and as the bike which my cousin was driving is in the name of his father and his age is 70 yrs old.....and his father has to pay....please guide us.

thnx

rajesh
