Compounding of unsanctioned map by development authority

What is the general critaria of

compounding when map of a

building is not sanctioned and

majority of houses/hotels are built

in the area for more than 2

years.Can map be got sanctioned

in such case by paying penalty.

Compounding is not a matter of right. There are cases where the Supreme Court had directed demolition of buildings - houses and hotels - constructed on G.T. Road (Sonepat-Panipat area) for years without proper sanction.

A building plan, along with the requisite fee, may be submitted for sanction / approval to the appropriate authorities.

There is no general or blanket rule to compound illegal construction. Each proposal is to be decided on the facts and circumstances of the case.
