Re: Penalty for a Class A and C Felony

In Indiana the penalty range for a Class A felony is 20 to 50 years in prison. The penalty range for a class C felony is 2 to 8 years in prison. In most instances, if the convictions for Dealing and Possession are for the same specific drugs, the convictions would merge for sentencing purposes, meaning a purson could not be sentenced seperately for dealing and possession the same drugs.
