Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

I just found out through Capital Accounts I am being charged 55.28 for a 25.00 dr. bill that I did not receive notice on but the Dr. office claimed they mailed notices. My address when i moved here was birch drive but now the sign was changed to birch ave. which has caused many problems in the past. When i called them and stated my case they SAID I STILL OWE THEM 55.28. Over 100% markup! I asked to speak with a supervisor and they said there isnt one and then after a 5minute phone ringing hold time the same guy got on the phone and tried to tell me he was the office manager and gave a phony name and said I owe 55.28! Is there anything i can do on my behalf?

If they sent it to the address you provided to them, they have discharged their obligation. You probably owe the money. The amount might not be worth fighting over and your credit rating is more important.
