Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

I was wondering if it is legal for a company to be awarded a judgement in small claims court and then sell that same debt to a collection agency (the amount is slightly differenct from the judgement amount, but I only owe one debt to the company and both appear on my credit report)?

It is legal to sell the debt to a collection agency or anyone else who wants to collect on the debt.
