Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

I was ordered to pay my ex wife a certain amount of money. I was given 6 months to pay it, but my atty (at the time) said I legally have one year to pay the amount. Please advise if I am legally entitled to a year to satisfy my obligation.

There is no way to answer this question I this forum. It all depends on the wording of the decree; there is no law that says in all divorces in Indiana you get a year to pay any money owed. Show the decree to an attorney to answer this question.
