Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

My sons father and i share custody, current agreement i get him friday through monday mornings. Father gets him through the week. He has an unstable and unhealthy living environment. His wife has kicked he and my son out for the third time in a month, and im positive there was domestic violence buy not police report. How good of a chance do i have of switching roles in our custody agreement?
