Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

A company called tfl got my name and address off a standard pen pal site and has given it out to inmates all over the country. I've been receiving letters from inmates and finally one mentioned tfl so I contacted them and they said they do get people's information from regular pen pal sites but that generally they send the person information on their company which I never received and would not have authorized my name and address to be used in such a manner. Is there anything I can do?

You can remove your own name from any online pen pal site, and then ask tfl to do the same. Once you put your name and address on the Internet, you have no way to control how it is distributed.

Not much. You went and put your information out in the public domain----so you compromised your own privacy. Write to the company and ask them to refrain from using your information and take down your pen pal site.
