Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

My son signed a national letter of intent with a major university. They were to "pull" his admission application when it came in as he is a track athlete who applied late in the year. The only thing available to apply online was for the spring semester of the next year. They "forgot" to pull it and "it is now too late to get in". They state there is nothing they can do now and he must enroll in community college for the fall and transfer in January. Does this sound feasible? We now have a national letter of intent sitting on the counter doin nothing.

Without having the letter of intent and other related documents to review, it is difficult to provide advice. However, assuming that there are no disclaimers, etc., and that your son is academically qualified for that University, you may be able to obtain an injunction to force them to admit your son. You need to move on this asap. You will probably need to do this in the state where the university is located.
