Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Indiana

I am a nurse working in a long term care facility. One of the doctors that the facility deals with is very rude and threating. If a nurse requests a refill on a narcotic pain med for one of the residents, he always threatens to "send the State Police". This week, for instance, a nurse requested a pain med to be increased due to the resident with complaint of severe leg/hip pain. The resident is a 90+ year old female who is alert and oriented. He ordered an xray and a 12 point drug screen. He stated that her labs " better come back with that narcotic in her system or the State Police will be in the building". This is not the first time the nurses have had this doctor threaten us. One time a prescription he had written needed clarification and again when the nurse requested he comply the threat of the State Police was again voiced. Do the nurses have any legal means to get him to stop the threats?

Not really. The nurses should talk with the administrator concerning the physician.
