Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

I own 50% of a home with someone, they let 5 people move into our home, without consulting me or making any kind of agreement or lease. They do not pay rent and I was told by police I cannot make them leave since they established residence already and that I have to file an eviction but I do not have the money to file one is there any thing else I can do to get them out or make them pay rent. And the other half owner is threatening to put them on the deed so they don't have to leave, can they do this or do they have to have my signature as well? I will not sign anything.

Whether or not someone can be added as an owner to the deed, depends on whether you and the other 50% owner hold the land as tenants in common, tenants by the entireties or joint tenants. You would have to have an attorney review the deed for you for a definitive answer. You really do have a problem. Your only real remedy is to retain an attorney and ask for a partition, which would essentially sell the property.
