Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

At an eviction hearing you are given a date by judge to vacate. if you are still in the property can the landlord force you out changing locks and keep you from your belongings? If this happens and belongings are lost or destroyed is he responsible?

Yes, the landlord can change the locks. If you are given proper notice to leave, he is not necessarily responsible for loss or damage to the tenant's property, but proper arrangements should be made for it's removal and short term storage.
