Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana

5 years ago my mother in law gave her home to 4 relatives, now she is no longer living in home. Are all 4 legally responsible for taxes, insurance and upkeep costs on property?

Taxes: Yes, if they want to keep the home, the taxes will have to be paid.

Insurance: They are not required to insure the home unless they want to protect it from catastrophe.

Upkeep: They can let the house fall apart if they want.

If your question meant to say there was a disagreement between the owners as to what they should do, or pay, then the unhappy co-owner needs to sit down with an attorney to discuss the options.
