Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana

my grandfather passed away in 2009 and part of the money was given out at that time. My grandmother has been in the nursing home for 3 years now. She passed in December of 2011. My question is that there is a big amount of money set a side for when she passed so how long does the lawyer have to pay that amount out.

It isn't up to the lawyer to pay out the money. Most likely, an estate needs to be opened in order to determine what should be disbursed and to whom. Or, if a trust is involved, then the trust usually provides the details about disbursement. In any case, you need to take your situation to a qualified estate and probate attorney to get to the bottom of this for you.
