Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa

My daughter is in jail for her 3rd arrest relating to drug possession. Her case has been labeled "C Indexed" and when I look at her case file in the online records the title of the filing is Title: STATE VS [NAME] **C. What does this denote?

I'm not sure where you've seen that designation, but I've never seen anything to that effect. If she's charged with possession of a controlled substance 3rd offense it is either a Class D felony or an aggravated misdemeanor, depending upon the substance. Feel free to privately email me whatever you've seen and perhaps I can attempt to provide more information. Otherwise I would strongly suggest that she get an attorney to represent her since these cases can involve, prison/jail, treatment, fines, driver's license implications, and so on.
