Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa

I found a credit card and used it to purchase 1500 worth of items. I realized i made a mistake and will return to sender if i receive anything. I used my address with different name and used an encrypted computer. Whats will happen cops come to the door .detective call? I am soo scared

It doesn't matter if you return anything if you get it. You're still on the hook if you get caught. Best of luck.

There are a couple potential felonies here, unauthorized use of a credit card and theft second degree. I'd suggest you talk with an attorney that specializes in the defense of people accused of crimes, since a law enforcement officer is likely to be paying you a visit in the near future.
