Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa

I lived in North Dakota for four months and recently moved back to Iowa. While in North Dakota I wrote a few bad checks, but I have every intention and am currently working on paying the bad checks. The police in ND are looking for me should I turn myself in to Iowa police?

I would suggest that you reach out to the district attorney in the county in North Dakota where you were charged, if at all. Have a plan to pay off your bad checks and settle your charges in place when you call them. If there is a warrant outstanding and you do not deal with this you will be arrested eventually in Iowa and sit in jail until they figure out what to do with you-that could take weeks.
