Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa

I am on visitor visa in usa and went tovisit one of my friend at a store where he was working just suddenly he went to restroom and customers were waiting for him to come but he went somewhat late so i tried to bil the customers and did that but suddenly a senior officer came and said you sold an alcohal to minor, i was not know about the rules here and the cops asked me for my i.d. Issued by same state govt. but as i was on visitor visa i didnt have it all i have was my visa so the cops arrested me and charged me for selling alcohal to minor and one of my relative filled my bond and get me out of jail. Please let me know what will be conciquences on the date court gave date to me. Pleae help i am helpless here.
