Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Iowa

I quit my job yesterday after several stressful weeks. In that time I had dealt with some sexual harassment issues and racis the comments that when brought to the plant managers attention by me were pretty much disregarded and to one he even said well I find that hard to believe. Comments n attitudes from coworkers didnt stop just toned down a bit. No paperwork was filed for my complaint. I didnt even get to write out a complaint n didnt sign anything. Witnesses were not questioned.Ever since complaining my supervisor had been rather short with me about anything I had to bring to his attention. Yesterday I had enough and just quit. Today they call me and ask me to send a letter of resignation to them saying somthing about it benefits me in the future for my vacation time and what not? Does this sound legit and normal?

Without knowing what the company policy on such things is, I couldn't say. On the other hand it does look like the company is trying to head off a constructive discharge claim. Offhand I probably wouldn't do it.
