Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

I was with my daughter's father for 17years and they never did a DNA test and they gave him custody can I take him back to court because she might not be his and I also want to know how old a child has to be to decide what parent he wants to live with also my ex's aunt used to be a judge in the county attorney in the same county as the custody was in and that is Marshall County Iowa

I'll start with the last question first if there is a last question. It probably doesn't make any difference and if it did you'd have to prove the judge was unfairly biased. Second of all a child can choose to live wherever he or she wants and the age for that is 18 because they're not a child at that point. As to the first question, nobody did DNA testing 17 years ago and if they did, in this case it is far too late in the game to disprove or contest his paternity when he is the only father that the daughter has ever had.

When you think about it, what would the effect on the child be? To remove the only father she has ever known? Why would you do that?
